“Cynder, Cynder, wake up!” The black dragon snapped out her day dream when she was lightly shaken. “Cynder, you and Spyro said you were only going to be a minute. You guys are taking FOREVER!” Cynder looked up to see Sparx looking at her with annoyance written all over his face. “Come on Cynder, we can’t start without you and lazy purple over there. I’m ready to party!” “Alright…alright…I’m coming.” Cynder got up and stretched, annoyed at the dragonfly’s sudden appearance.
“Ok Sparx…what are they doing now that you’re so worked up about?” “They’re having a dance.” “Oh, and I assume you have a dance partner?” “Yup. Well…actually, several dance partners…heh heh heh.” “Several!? How many dance partners does one person need?!” “Just one, but the more, the better. Some dragonflies from the village I grew up in got lost when the world was getting torn to pieces and found me. Now, they know how I saved the world and think I’m the greatest thing since sliced bread.” “More like the perfect target for Raid…” “Huh?” “Oh, nothing…” Cynder wore an innocent grin on her face.
Sparx and Cynder spotted Spyro laying down with his back to them in the distance. “Hey Cynder, can you go cheer him up?” Cynder looked up at him, shocked. He’s usually the one that wants her to stay away from Spyro, but he was asking her to cheer Spyro up? “Me?” “Of course you. That way, if he gets mad, he can’t squish you. Although, he might if he sits on you…I told him to lose some weight…” Cynder rolled her eyes. “Sparx…you mean to tell me that you want me to cheer him up for the sake of your own health?” “Yeah, pretty much.” “And for a second there I thought you were trying to take sides with the enemy.”
Cynder walked over to Spyro, frowning when she got close enough to see his face. He was in a light slumber, but depression was written all over his face. And, were those tears on his cheek? With a sigh, she laid down beside him and nudged him with her nose. “Spyro…” His eye lid twitched, but nothing more. “Spyro, wake up.” She nudged him harder, and this time he woke up with a groan and looked at her.
“What is it Cynder?” He asked, sleepily. “There’s a big dance about to start, and everyone’s waiting for you to come.” “Well, they will have to go on without me. I’m not coming.” Cynder looked at him, shocked. “You’re not coming to your own party!?” “Yes…I’m not in the mood for dancing. Don’t let me hold you back, go have fun. I’ll be alright…” Spyro laid his head down, looking even more depressed. “Spyro, please…everyone will be so upset not to see you.” “At the moment, I don’t care.” Cynder was heartbroken when she saw how upset he was, but she almost cried herself when she saw a tear roll across Spyro’s cheek.
“He needs a little cheering up…” Cynder thought. Hesitantly, she bent down until her nose was touching his cheek, then slowly licked Spyro’s tear away. Spyro looked at her, surprised by the action, but Cynder continued to gently lick his tears away.
“Spyro, no one want to see you sad. You just saved the world, so you deserve happiness. And if you don’t stop being sad, I’ll end up having to do what I just did again.” She smiled warmly at him, thankful for her black scales and the fact that it was night time because she was blushing up a storm. Spyro was also blushing, but Cynder couldn’t see it.
Spyro’s thoughts were racing. He couldn’t make up his mind. Should he stay there by himself, or should he go and celebrate with everyone else? The purple dragon looked at the ground, deep in thought.
Eventually, Spyro got up and looked at the cheetahs putting the finishing touches on the decorations in the middle of the village. He sighed to himself. “Alright Cynder, I’ll go.” Cynder smiled brightly at him. “Well then, they’re waiting for us, so let’s get moving.”
They slowly made their way to the festive part of the village, immediately getting greeted by Hunter. “Well, it seems that you’ve decided to join us.” “Yeah…but it took a lot of persuasion.” Spyro replied, side glancing Cynder. “By the way, do you have a dance partner?” Cynder asked. “Well, no. In truth, I can’t remember the last time I danced with a partner.” Unknown to Hunter, a blue female cheetah was slowly making her way towards him. “Hunter?”
Hunter froze. He hadn’t heard that voice before, but there was something extremely familiar about it…
He slowly turned around, seeing a sight he never thought he’d see: there was a beautiful cheetah with fur as blue as the sky, black spots and ears as dark as the earth, with a white snout, paws, and underside as white as the clouds. She was wearing a top as green as the grass that exposed her mid drift and a skirt that came down to her knees of the same color. A bow and a quiver full of arrows was visible on her back, and a lightweight sword was strapped to her thigh. She looked at Hunter with curious blue eyes.
The golden cheetah looked on at the blue cheetah with a shocked expression on his face. “Bl…Bluebell? Is it really you?” The blue cheetah stepped forward so he can get a better look at her. “It’s me, Patches.” All of a sudden, the two cheetahs embraced, having a look of happiness Spyro and Cynder have never seen before.
After a few seconds, Hunter looked at Spyro and Cynder, glad that his fur covered up the blush on his face. “Spyro, Cynder, this is Bluebell. She was my childhood friend, but the last time I saw her was when her and a lot others were kidnapped in a big attack on our village…everyone assumed the worst.” “Hunter, you know that it will take a lot more than that to get rid of me. The kidnappers were so stupid that I figured out a successful escape that same day!” Hunter looked at her, shocked. He knew that she was smart, but…when the village was attacked, she was only eight years old. “I’ll tell you later Patches; it’s a LONG story.”
This time, it was Cynder that spoke up. “Hunter…why does she keep calling you Patches?” Hunter looked slightly embarrassed. “Well, when I was a child, I had a strong lust for adventure. Every game I played was a big adventure, whether it was sword fights, target practice with arrows, or exploring an unknown place I wasn’t supposed to go. As a result, I came home with many rips and holes in my clothing, and my mother had to put patches on the holes, which drove her crazy. I had so many patches on my clothes, Patches became my new nickname.” Cynder laughed.
“Yeah, and somehow, I always got in the middle of it and had to get a few patches myself.” Bluebell stated, elbowing Hunter lightly. “You went on so many adventures, you had more patches than clothes on.” Hunter blushed and scratched the back of his head.
All of a sudden, some well dressed cheetahs started playing their instruments, and the cheetahs started dancing all together. Bluebell’s eyes widened excitedly, and she grabbed Hunter by his paw and ran to the place cleared out for dancing. “It looks like Hunter has a dance partner after all…” Cynder said, walking to the dance floor with Spyro following.
The dance wasn’t hard, so Cynder and Spyro caught on easily. Sparx was dancing right beside them. Cynder was having fun, but she noticed Spyro moving sluggishly as if he really didn’t want to dance. An evil smirk spread across her face as she thought of a plan to make him dance.
As they moved to the left, Cynder “accidentally” moved to far too fast and bumped into Spyro. Spyro nearly lost his balance from the sudden bump, but regained it and continued his sluggish movements. The next time they moved to the left, Cynder bumped him again, harder this time. Spyro regained his balance again, but realized what she was doing. “So, she wants to play like that, huh?” Spyro thought, continuing his sluggish movements.
This time, Cynder was about to bump him, but before she got the chance, Spyro bumped her so hard he knocked her on her side. Cynder quickly got up and looked at him, only to find him smirking evilly at her. “You’re smiling…” Cynder said, pleased with her work. “So I am…poor me.” Cynder laughed.
After a while, everyone stopped dancing together and danced freely, sometimes having small dance contests.
Cynder looked like she was having a good time, and so was Spyro. “Hey Spyro, I found out where Sparx went!” Cynder yelled over the music. The small dragonfly had suddenly disappeared when the free dancing began.
Spyro looked behind him, and sure enough, he saw a small yellow light in the distance, but there were several other lights of different colors around him. “I think Sparx is going to be busy for a while.” Cynder stated, laughing.
Not long after that, the music got slower and the cheetahs started slow dancing. Everyone was tired, so they were glad for the break.
Spyro and Cynder looked on at the cheetahs quietly. They were dancing hand in hand, spinning each other around, and some were holding each other closely.
Spyro looked at Cynder, blushing slightly. Cynder noticed his gaze and looked at him. Spyro stepped forward a little. “Cynder…would you like to…dance?” Cynder could clearly see the nervousness on his face, but smiled warmly at him. “I’d love to.” Spyro smiled back at her, relived at her answer.
Spyro stood up on his hind legs, Cynder doing the same. Being that they naturally stand on four legs, Spyro and Cynder had to put their arms around each other and walk slowly so they can keep their balance.
Not too far away, Sparx was in a bit of a crisis. He was dancing with someone, but there were five other girls that had to wait their turn, and were getting impatient. If they got too impatient, a cat fight might break out…
Hunter on the other hand was having lots of fun. He hadn’t danced with a partner in years, but his dancing skills came back to him like instinct. Not only was the dancing fun, but to see his childhood friend that he thought was gone forever made him so happy he wanted to cry.
As Spyro and Cynder danced, Cynder was blushing. Spyro was in a trance like state watching Sparx and Hunter dance with their partners, so he didn’t see Cynder’s cherry red cheeks.
Spyro was broken out of his trance when he felt Cynder rest her head against his chest. He looked down at her with shocked eyes, but she was smiling and had her eyes closed.
Spyro didn’t know why, but he liked having her that close to him. He hugged her tighter and pressed his face close to hers. Cynder smiled wider and blushed.
Pretty soon, Cynder looked up at him with love in her eyes, and Spyro smiled back at her. The black dragoness stared at Spyro for a little while, before her snout slowly moved toward his. Spyro’s purple facial scales slowly turned bright red when Cynder’s nose touched his.
Cynder didn’t stop there; she wanted him more than anything at the moment. Very slowly, she turned her snout, until she was kissing Spyro.
Spyro’s eyes widened, and his thoughts raced. At this point, Spyro’s whole face was red.
As Cynder kissed him, a strange felling made it’s way through Spyro’s system. Slowly, his eyes drooped until they were completely closed. He gently kissed Cynder back and wrapped his wings around her so no one could See what was happening.
After a few seconds, Cynder broke away, surprised to see the slightly disappointed look on Spyro’s face. She giggled to herself and rested her head against Spyro’s chest once more. Spyro pressed his head against hers, not wanting to let her go. When she kissed him, he realized that…he loved her.
“Ok Sparx…what are they doing now that you’re so worked up about?” “They’re having a dance.” “Oh, and I assume you have a dance partner?” “Yup. Hey Hope what kind of elements do you have?
Hope looked on Spyro like she finally gets the chance to talk to him.
I have a special element because it is two elements mixed together. answered Hope.
Is that possible? asked Cynder surprised.
I thought that only the purple dragon should be able to have more than one element.
No, I know many other dragons with two mixed elements. answered Hope.

That was awesome so in love. But imagining them on two legs looks quite ridiculous.
